Free active programme helps the family budget
Crisis and holiday - do they go together? Families, particularly those on a tight budget, will have to carefully calculate their spending this summer. In the Zillertal Arena, situated in the province of Tyrol, they will discover a holiday destination that offers its full support. This summer, the resorts of Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Wald, Königsleiten and Krimml offer a wide range of children and adult holiday activities, which offer plenty to enjoy, but cost nothing. The programme include bike tours and guided walks – whether it be herbal walks or Nordic walking tours, lama treks, Kneipp tours or sunrise hikes. For children, the region offers a variety of adventures on weekdays - from discovery tours in the Alps to evening torch hikes. The Zillertal Arena, a popular ski resort in winter, makes often difficult to calculate additional charges no burden at all. Active Mountain, a summer programme in Gerlos, and the corresponding Active Pleasure in Zell, as well as a number of wellness activities are available all summer long, free of charge. Participation is free for all holidaymakers staying at any of the numerous partner hotels in the region. Guests from other hotels are only requested to pay a nominal fee. The children's programme is free for Arena guests. Other thrilling adventures such as the Arena Coaster, an exciting roller coaster, tandem flights, the high rope course, canyoning and rafting require a fee.
